Michael Garvey

Psychotherapy & Counselling

Welcome

Whatever challenges you’re facing, you don’t have to navigate them alone. Therapy can help. By developing a deeper understanding of your experience in the confidential, non-judgemental context of therapy, we can work towards meaningful change and a better quality of life.

I am a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor in Tralee and online. ‘Integrative’ simply means that I have a range of different approaches to choose from in our work together rather than being limited to one. Empathy, genuineness and non-judgemental acceptance are always at the heart of my practice. I am particularly influenced by psychodynamic therapy, attachment styles, person-centred counselling, trauma-focused work, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and Gestalt therapy.

The fact that you find yourself on this page suggests that a part of you wants support. Deciding to start therapy can feel like a big step and it’s normal to have questions or to feel uncertain. When you feel ready, I invite you to make contact. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and, if it feels right, to arrange an initial session so we can begin our work together.
